Biden Sends Weapons to Ukraine, Secret Missiles Manifest for Kiev

After signing a $95 billion law for aid and weapons for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, US President Joe Biden confirmed that arms were on their way to Kiev. The US Senate approved the package with bipartisan support, giving the green light for the aid. According to Politico, the United States has already sent ATACMS long-range missiles to Ukraine.

In a statement, Jake Sullivan, the White House National Security Advisor, confirmed that President Biden had directed his team to provide Ukraine with a significant number of ATACMS missiles for use within their territory. These missiles have already been used twice by Kiev and are capable of reaching a range of approximately 260 kilometers. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had been requesting these missiles, and now the US is ready to provide the necessary aid to support Ukraine in their fight against Russian aggression.

President Biden emphasized the importance of moving quickly to send the necessary ammunition for air defense, artillery, missile systems, and armored vehicles to Ukraine. He stressed that this aid package is not just an investment in Ukraine’s security but also in Europe’s security and that of the United States. Despite delays and obstacles in getting the funding approved, President Biden highlighted the importance of supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression.

The potential consequences if Putin were to attack a NATO ally were also mentioned by Biden as he stated that Russia would face severe retaliation from NATO countries if they were ever attacked again. Ukrainian President Zelensky expressed his gratitude for the US military aid package and emphasized that it was crucial in helping them defend their country against Russian aggression. The aid package is seen as a vital step in supporting Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression by both leaders.

Overall, this move by President Biden demonstrates his commitment to providing military assistance to allies facing threats from Russia while strengthening international security cooperation with NATO countries.
