The real-life recreation of the Grand Theft Auto VI announcement trailer has been released by YouTuber Andrew Levitt, and it is truly impressive. In this retelling, Levitt uses his own footage and stock videos from various sources to replicate the film presented last December. The clip also features the same song as the original trailer, “Love Is a Long Road” by Tom Petty.
Levitt has also released a behind-the-scenes video that offers a look at how he and his team made the video and the efforts they put into an ambitious project. The GTA VI announcement video received a huge number of views, which is not surprising given that industry analysts consider it one of the most important in the history of video games.
The previous chapter, GTA V, sold almost 200 million copies worldwide. GTA VI is being developed at Rockstar North in Edinburgh, Scotland, with Rockstar teams around the world supporting the work. This project has been ongoing for more than ten years, and Take-Two Games’ parent company says that Rockstar Games is chasing “perfection.”
