Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball team is on cloud nine as they eagerly await their assignment for the NAIA National Tournament. Despite facing numerous challenges, the Eagles emerged victorious and claimed the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title over the weekend. This remarkable turnaround was a result of the team’s resilience and determination, as they had been struggling in the final weeks leading up to the tournament, losing five out of six games.
Head coach Kirk Kelly expressed his pride in his team for their ability to handle pressure during the tournament. The NAIA Baseball Tournament Selection Show will take place on Thursday afternoon at 4:00, and will be broadcasted live on the NAIA’s YouTube page. Oklahoma Wesleyan will be competing in a double-elimination tournament, where they will need to win in order to move on to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Overall, it has been an exciting journey for the Eagles as they eagerly anticipate their next challenge in the national tournament.
