Stitch in Time, a beloved specialty yarn store that has served the Howell community for over 30 years, will be closing its doors in October. The store, located at 722 E. Grand River Ave., will have its final day of operation on October 31st. Owner Charlene Hatfield announced the closure on May 1st, stating that she will be retiring.
Hatfield expressed her heartfelt gratitude to customers for their unwavering support and love for the craft throughout the past three decades. She thanked her family, especially her husband, for their support in this endeavor. As she said goodbye to the store, Hatfield emphasized that the memories created together will always be cherished.
Stitch in Time is currently preparing for its closure and encouraging customers to follow the store on Facebook for updates on closing sales and events. The prime retail space will soon be available for rent, and those interested can contact Hatfield for more information. Additionally, fixtures from the store are also available for sale.
Until its closure, Stitch in Time will maintain its regular hours of operation, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m
