Wisconsin Badgers recently extended an offer to Jakob Weatherspoon, a highly sought-after athlete from Avon, Ohio who is part of the class of 2026. Weatherspoon joins Rico Blassingame and Sharroid Whitehead as the third athlete to receive an offer from the Badgers in recent weeks. On the same day, another athlete, Madden Williams, also received an offer from UW.

Weatherspoon is a four-star athlete who stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 172 pounds. He currently attends Avon High School in Ohio and has already received 12 collegiate opportunities, including from schools like Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Cincinnati. According to 247Sports, he is ranked as the No. 16 athlete, No. 7 recruit from Ohio, and the No. 196 overall recruit for the class of 2026.

Despite some of his peers in the same class having numerous offers, Weatherspoon has not yet made a decision on which school he will attend. However, On3’s recruiting prediction machine suggests that he is likely to choose Ohio State, with a nearly 92% chance of committing to them. With the addition of Weatherspoon, Wisconsin has now offered a total of 26 athletes for its class of 2026.
