The owner of social network X, Elon Musk, has faced criticism from the White House for promoting anti-Semitism. The White House has condemned Musk’s comments, stating that they go against the core values of Americans. Recent posts on X, including a response to a comment that “Jews are fueling hatred of whites” and the statement “You speak the truth,” have sparked outrage and led to an increase in hate messages on the platform.

The White House spokesperson emphasized the importance of unity against hate and called out Musk’s comments as particularly damaging. They described the spread of such lies as unacceptable, especially given the rise in anti-Semitic incidents since the war between Israel and Hamas. More and more companies and organizations are now suspending their advertisements on X in protest at the increasing disinformation and hate messages on the social media platform. Companies such as IBM, Lions Gate Entertainment, Apple, and even Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz have taken this step. Investors in Tesla have expressed concern about Musk’s actions, raising concerns about potential damage to the car brand’s reputation.
