Westchester County’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Recognizes Exceptional Small Business Owners: Honoring Dr. Yung Yi Diana Pan and Lili and Sam Moy

Westchester County’s Board of Legislators has honored three small business owners during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month for their outstanding contributions and positive impact on the community. Dr. Yung Yi Diana Pan from Hastings-on-Hudson was recognized for her exceptional achievements and dedication to promoting inclusivity within the community. Lili and Sam (Mun) Moy, who own a business in Rye, were also acknowledged for their generosity and positive influence on the local town.

These recognitions serve as a reminder of the importance of celebrating and recognizing the diverse voices and contributions of individuals during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in Westchester County. It is a time to appreciate and honor the valuable contributions that members of the Asian Pacific American community make to enrich the cultural tapestry of the county.

Dr. Pan’s exceptional achievements include her work as a physician specializing in internal medicine, where she has dedicated herself to providing high-quality care to her patients while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare. She has also been actively involved in her community, volunteering with various organizations that promote health and wellness among marginalized populations.

Lili and Sam Moy have been running their business in Rye for over 20 years, offering a wide range of products from Asia that have become staples in many households throughout Westchester County. They are known for their generosity towards their employees and customers alike, often hosting events or donating resources to support local charities.

The recognition of these small business owners serves as an inspiration for others within the Asian Pacific American community to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact on their communities. The Board of Legislators hopes that these recognitions will encourage others to celebrate diversity and support local businesses during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in Westchester County.
