The Golden State Warriors recently announced the addition of two new members to their coaching staff, Terry Stotts and Jerry Stackhouse. Both experienced coaches, Stotts has 13 years of head-coaching experience and Stackhouse is a former NBA All-Star player with a background in coaching. Kerr, the team’s coach, welcomed the two new additions to his team and filled the third spot on the front bench with Kris Weems.

The hiring of Stotts and Stackhouse means that longtime assistant Bruce “Q” Fraser will be moving back to the second bench after three seasons up front. Stotts most recently coached the Portland Trail Blazers for nine seasons before joining the Milwaukee Bucks as an assistant last summer. Stackhouse retired from basketball in 2013 and has since transitioned into coaching with teams like the Raptors and Grizzlies.

Kerr initially did not anticipate major changes to his staff, but after Kenny Atkinson left for a head coaching job with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he decided to bring in coaches with previous head-coaching experience to strengthen the team. With their wealth of experience and strong leadership skills, it is expected that Stotts and Stackhouse will have a positive impact on the Warriors’ coaching staff next season.
