Warriors Boost Coaching Staff with Stotts, Stackhouse and Weems on Front Bench

The Golden State Warriors have recently announced the addition of two new coaches to their staff. Veteran coach Terry Stotts and former NBA All-Star player Jerry Stackhouse have joined the team, filling two openings left by Kenny Atkinson and Dejan Milojević.

Stotts, 66, brings 13 years of head coaching experience to the Warriors, most recently with the Portland Trail Blazers. He will take on the top assistant role vacated by Atkinson. Stackhouse, 49, is a two-time All-Star who turned to coaching after retiring in 2013. He will be filling the spot left open by the passing of assistant Milojević in February.

Kris Weems will remain on the front bench and fill the third assistant spot. This move will bring assistant Bruce Fraser, known for his close relationship with Stephen Curry, back to the second bench after three seasons on the front bench. Stotts and Stackhouse are expected to join Kerr on the front bench, creating a stronger coaching staff for the Warriors next season. Weems was promoted to the front bench last summer after Jama Mahlalela left for a job with the Toronto Raptors.

The additions of Stotts and Stackhouse are meant to strengthen the Warriors coaching staff for the upcoming season. Although both come with previous head coaching experience, they bring different perspectives and approaches to coaching that can benefit Kerr and his players. With these new hires, Kerr has created a strong coaching staff that is ready to take on any challenges that come their way next season.
