Vandals Cause $25,000 in Damage to Small Business in Glendora, California

A group of young women, who were caught on camera vandalizing a fleet of pink Volkswagen Bugs belonging to small business Pink Sponge, caused extensive damage worth an estimated $25,000. The incident took place on April 20th in Glendora, California. In the video, at least three women were seen twerking on the hoods of the vehicles and causing other destruction such as breaking car windows, taillights, and headlights. Additionally, the vandals carved gang signs onto the vehicles.

The co-founder of Pink Sponge, Jennifer Ahlgrim, expressed her devastation over the damage caused by the vandals. She stated that it affected 18 cars and would require extensive repairs such as repainting and replacing various parts. Despite filing a claim with their insurance company, it was denied. As a result, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the repair costs.

Authorities informed Ahlgrim that all three vandals have been arrested by Glendora Police. The small business, which was built from scratch by Ahlgrim and her partner, has been deeply affected by the vandalism. Ahlgrim described the situation as “really sad” but expressed gratitude for the community support and assistance in recovering from the damage caused by the vandals.
