Monta Vista’s team claimed victory for the first time, while Kennedy’s team celebrated a back-to-back win. One of the high school seniors from Monta Vista, Ishanvi Kommula, was among the five students to receive a $10,000 Founders’ Scholarship from the Science Olympiad USA Foundation. The tournament brought together 120 middle school and high school teams from state-level competitions, with students competing in hands-on and lab events covering a wide range of topics such as engineering, physics, epidemiology, astronomy, chemistry, robotics, and coding.
