The global community is facing a critical climate crisis, which has led to increased international efforts to address this urgent issue. With an overwhelming amount of information available on climate change, it can be difficult to discern what is accurate and what is misleading. As such, it is now more important than ever to have a deep understanding of climate science and its implications in order to effectively combat and adapt to the changing climate.
In an effort to promote scientific literacy among the public, UNESCO has joined forces with 9 other United Nations agencies to create a series of 27 informative posters. These posters, developed under the United Nations’ Issue-based Coalition on Climate Change and Resilience (IBC-CCR), aim to consolidate the wealth of climate knowledge held by the United Nations and provide valuable information to help educate individuals on the complexities of climate change.
By arming ourselves with accurate knowledge about climate change, we can better prepare ourselves to tackle the challenges posed by the changing climate. It is through understanding the science behind climate change that we can take meaningful action to mitigate its impact and build resilience in the face of new realities. Only with a strong foundation of climate knowledge can we effectively navigate the complexities of the climate crisis and work towards a more sustainable future for our planet.
