Turkey is set to enter a new era with the launch of its Turksat 6A telecommunications satellite on July 8. The announcement was made by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu, who has been enthusiastically talking about this launch as a milestone for the country.
The launch of the Turksat 6A satellite will mark a shift for Turkey from being a space probe importer to having the capability to export them. The satellite is scheduled to be launched from the Cape Canaveral space base in Florida, where it will be launched into orbit by Falcon 9 rockets.
