The Tulsa World is once again honoring the top high school athletes in the Tulsa area with its All-World Awards for winter sports. Finalists for boys and girls swimming will be announced on Wednesday, while boys and girls wrestling will take place on Thursday. Boys basketball will be recognized on Friday, and girls basketball will follow on Saturday. The World’s All-State boys and girls basketball honors will be announced on Sunday.
Last fall, athlete of the year finalists in football, cross country, volleyball, and softball were recognized. For the 2023-24 season, the All-World honors will cover football, softball, volleyball, girls cross country, and boys cross country.
Finalists for spring sports will be announced in early June along with specialty awards such as best comeback, inspirational and scholar athletes. A lifetime achievement award recipient will also be recognized at the eighth annual All-World Awards presented by Bill Knight Automotive on Thursday, June 20 at Cox Business Convention Center’s Legacy Hall.
