Tufts Swimmers Excel in Pool and Classroom: Four Earn Academic All-District® Honors

College Sports Communicators Select Four Men’s Swimmers for Academic All-District® Teams

Four Tufts University swimmers, including graduate student Peter LaBarge and juniors Emmett Adams, Charlie Duffy, and Eric Lundgren, have been recognized for their exceptional performance in both the pool and in the classroom by earning a spot on the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men’s Swimming & Diving Teams. The College Sports Communicators (CSC) selected these honorees for their significant contributions to their team, a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA at their current institution, and their eligibility in at least four competitions or finishing in the top eight at a conference meet.

LaBarge studies biology, while Adams studies psychology/clinical, Duffy studies human factors engineering, and Lundgren studies environmental engineering. Under the guidance of head coach Adam Hoyt, the Tufts team finished ninth at the NCAA Division III Championships in March and was the runner-up in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees will have the opportunity to advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with first, second
