Students at Tidioute Neighborhood Charter College raised money for a wonderful trigger and for the opportunity to dump buckets of icy Allegheny River water additional than their teachers’ heads.
The money raised by the Polar Plop was donated to One of a kind Olympics to give year-round sports instruction and competitors for thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities. “Our contribution and involvement aids athletes attain their ambitions, reside healthier lives, and have a sense of inclusion in the neighborhood,” according to Workplace Manager Heather Cass.
The dollar war started March eight and donors could specify which teachers would ‘benefit’ from their contributions.
At noon Tuesday, March 14, Megan Minich had a total of $150 raised in her name to finish in the key spot.

Tidioute Neighborhood Charter College Teacher Dave Manning missed out on the five-gallon bucket of river water, but, for his efforts in the Polar Plop fundraising occasion for One of a kind Olympics, won the consolation prize — an ice-water balloon additional than the head.
“The key three participating staff members with the most money donated got a five-gallon bucket of river water dumped on their heads,” Cass stated.
Minich was joined by Andrew Waugaman and Michelle Buccardo as the “winners.”
“The water was ice cold but it was for a wonderful trigger and the students had been yelling with joy,” Minich stated.
The other participating teachers – Sara Robinson, Christy Valentine, Dave Manning, Joni Schettler, and Nicole Cope – did not escape scot-totally free of charge. They each had ice-water balloons broken additional than their heads.
