Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger apologized to fans for any inconvenience caused by a technology glitch that affected the new parking technology using license plate recognition during the team’s home opener on Tuesday. The server holding the passes was not working, causing some fans to encounter problems when trying to activate their parking passes. Schlesinger reassured fans that nobody would be cited for parking and promised to find a solution. If needed, they would revert back to the system used in the previous year.

Interstate Parking, the vendor responsible for the parking technology, issued a statement that the connectivity problems resulted from a technology configuration issue on their end and were not connected to the Brewers or MLB Ballpark App. They were working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, but in the meantime, would go back to the traditional parking method for the next game. This would involve cashiers scanning prepaid passes and accepting payment for day-of-game parking upon arrival. Interstate Parking apologized for the inconvenience and emphasized that no parking citations were handed out during the game.
