Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has emphasized the importance of adapting the Tamil language to advancements in technology, such as artificial intelligence. He announced that the State government would take measures to support the release of new software in Tamil by various companies. The Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, read Mr. Stalin’s written speech at the KaniTamil 24 conference, which aimed to promote the use of Tamil in technology and communication.

At the conference, Mr. Stalin urged the youth to utilize Tamil when using technology or communicating through technological services. He highlighted the conference as a unique initiative, exclusively organized by Tamil Nadu, to address “language technology” in the AI era. The conference concluded on Saturday after a three-day event.

The Chief Minister’s speech at the conference focused on the integration of Tamil language in the latest technological developments. He stressed the importance of embracing Tamil in the digital realm and encouraged the youth to actively participate in utilizing technology in the Tamil language.
