DOE Issues Solicitation for Support Services for National Energy Technology Laboratory Facility Operations

An 8(a) small business set-aside contract has been released for Site Operations Support Services 5 (SOS5), which aims to provide a variety of housekeeping and facility operation services to support the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory. The services required for SOS5 include research and development, general engineering, site operations, property management, industrial hygiene, and waste disposal support.

The request for proposals (RFP) was posted on SAM.gov on Monday and will benefit the NETL facilities in Oregon, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. However, work locations and the contract type cost will be determined based on the specific requirements. SOS5 has a base period of performance of 24 months, with three options available that can extend the work to 60 months if exercised.

Interested parties are invited to respond to the RFP by May 17. The contract aims to provide critical support services to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of the NETL facilities. The selected contractor will play a key role in providing a safe and clean working environment for the Department of Energy’s staff working at these sites. This presents an opportunity for small businesses to contribute to the important work conducted by the National Energy Technology Laboratory.
