Microsoft is set to launch a new feature called Super Resolution in Windows 11, aimed at improving the quality of your gaming experience. This feature was spotted in a hidden setting within a preview version of Windows 11, which is set to launch later this year.
The idea behind Super Resolution is to integrate this feature seamlessly into Windows 11, making it incredibly easy for users to boost the visuals of their games. Thanks to a tip-off from @PhantomOfEarth on X (Twitter), we learned that this feature uses AI to automatically enhance the visuals of games, with some clever technology behind the scenes. Users can even tweak it for each game to achieve the perfect balance.
Another tech enthusiast, @Thebookisclosed, also discovered this feature in the preview version of Windows 11 and shared a video on X. If you’re interested in trying it out for yourself, you can use ViveTool, which is available on GitHub.
To activate the feature, simply open the command prompt as an administrator and enter the activation key: vivetool /enable /id:39695921 /variant:3. Make sure to install the tool first before entering the key and restarting your computer. Once you’ve done that, Super Resolution should be up and running!
