The highly anticipated softball game between St. Paul and Doherty took place at Bob Rousseau Field in Worcester, Mass. In the end, it was St. Paul that emerged victorious with a final score of 6-1.
Bella Mara delivered an impressive performance on the mound for St. Paul, allowing only two hits and recording 16 strikeouts. Emma Nordahl powered the Knights’ offense with a remarkable 3-4 batting average, including a double, triple, RBI, and a run scored. Ava Grant also contributed with an RBI of her own, while Mara hit a solo home run to add to the Knights’ total.
On the Doherty side, Audrey Lefebvre hit a solo home run despite the loss. The Highlanders displayed strong defensive plays throughout the game, including Tess Lee’s remarkable diving catch in right field.
With this win, St. Paul improved their record to 9-4, while Doherty now stands at 7-6. Both teams put on a competitive showing in the game, showcasing their skills and determination on the field.
