The Casa de ABC will host the thirteenth edition of the ABC Salud awards this Thursday, November 23. This year’s recipients have made outstanding contributions in various fields of healthcare, including genetic editing, mental health, fetal surgery, and data management.
Francis J. Mojica is a microbiologist who has played a crucial role in developing genetic editing technology that is transforming medicine. Other notable achievements include advances in mental health care, such as Janssen’s new fast-acting antidepressant and a mental health awareness campaign. Fetal surgery has also seen significant progress, with a project focused on pediatric transplants receiving recognition.
The jury for the ABC Salud awards was chaired by former Minister of Health Ana Pastor and included experts from various sectors of the healthcare industry, including the director of the National Transplant Organization (ONT), the director of the Carlos III Health Institute, and the president of the General Council of Official Medical Associations.
