Last night at 8:54 p.m., the Seattle Fire Department received multiple 911 calls reporting smoke coming from the windows and doors of a two-story commercial building in the South Park neighborhood. As firefighters arrived on scene, they confirmed that heavy smoke was flowing down to the floor, causing poor visibility.
Fortunately, the seat of the fire was quickly located near the rear of the first-floor and extinguished by firefighters. The fire was brought under control by 9:24 p.m., and investigators soon determined that it had been caused by faulty electrical equipment. No injuries were reported as a result of this accidental blaze.
