Medina will be participating in Small Business Saturday on November 25 to promote local businesses within the city. This event is part of a larger “Shop Small Movement” founded by American Express in 2010, which is dedicated to supporting small businesses and communities across the country and helping them thrive. The day always takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday at the height of the holiday shopping season.
In Medina, 90% of the business district store fronts are filled with local, independent retail shops, boutiques, restaurants and pubs and a wide range of services. To celebrate Small Business Saturday, a table will be set up in the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square with “Shop Small” handouts and info about Medina’s small business community. Santa will also be dropping by from noon-2 pm at Wichert Insurance, 119 N. Court St.
