In Crawford County, Missouri, the Sheriff’s Office recently received positive feedback for a humorous social media post about a unique vehicle they encountered during a traffic stop. The agency shared images of the vehicle, which resembled a UFO, on their Facebook page after pulling it over.

The post made light of the unusual encounter and joked that the “friendly humanoids” inside the UFO-style vehicle had “come in peace” and were traveling to a festival in Roswell, New Mexico, known for its association with extraterrestrial activity. The response to the post was full of tongue-in-cheek humor from users who shared their own sightings of the vehicle and made references to popular science fiction.

Despite some concerns about the safety of the vehicle raised by some users, reports confirmed that the owner of the saucer car was from Indiana and that it had been built from a modified 1991 Geo Metro. The Sheriff’s Office’s playful approach to the situation was widely praised as adding an entertaining twist to what could have been a standard traffic stop.
