During his six years with the Indianapolis Colts, linebacker Shaquille Leonard had his share of accomplishments. He was a second-round pick in 2018 and won defensive rookie of the year, as well as being named a first-team All-Pro. However, back injuries and a decrease in playing time led to his release from the team.
Colts owner Jim Irsay thanked Leonard for his contributions to the team, expressing gratitude for the hard work he put into the organization. Leonard posted a farewell message on social media, thanking the city of Indianapolis and its fans for their support during his time with the team.
Despite his departure, Leonard remains appreciative of the support he received from Colts fans and expressed his love for the city. He will now be looking for a new team as a free agent, with the opportunity to sign a new contract elsewhere.
