Shannon Proulx: A Champion of Teamwork and Committed Caregiver at RiverView Health.

As Vince Lombardi once said, “Individual commitment to a group effort is what drives success in a team, company, society, and civilization.” This sentiment is perfectly exemplified by Shannon Proulx, LPN at RiverView Health’s Internal Medicine Department, and Dr. Bosun Fashoro.

Shannon began her journey at RiverView Health after graduating from high school where she worked in the dietary department before gaining her LPN. She then spent about five years working at Glenmore Recovery (now RiverView Recovery Center) before transitioning to her current role at RiverView’s Crookston Clinic. Despite starting at the clinic, Shannon continued to work weekends at Glenmore for several years, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment to helping others.

A native of Crookston and currently residing there with her significant other Nate Magsam and their blended family, Shannon has children ranging from 16 to 24 years old and their dog Nelly. The family enjoys spending time together at their cabin on Island Lake where Shannon finds peace and fulfillment in living by a lake full-time. In her free time, Shannon enjoys ice fishing, running, walking Nelly and cherishing moments with her loved ones.

Recently receiving the Employee of the Month recognition for May, Shannon expressed surprise and gratitude for the award. She feels fortunate to work alongside some of the best nurses and doctors at RiverView Health including Dr. Bosun Fashoro who she considers as a mentor who has taught her valuable lessons over the years. Shannon’s dedication to teamwork and commitment to providing excellent care make her an asset to RiverView Health.
