The 14th Shanghai University Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition recently concluded at Donghua University. A student from the East China University of Science and Technology emerged as the winner, beating out 357 other programs representing 57 institutions and colleges. The competition began in May and saw the participation of over 68,000 students from 78 universities and vocational schools across Shanghai. A record number of over 25,000 programs were submitted for the competition, which was co-hosted by the Shanghai Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the city’s education, science and technology, human resources, and social security departments. The final of the competition was hosted by Donghua University.
One postgraduate student named Zhong from Shanghai University of Engineering Science expressed his excitement about the competition. “It’s an inspiring experience,” he said. “This is a rare opportunity to showcase our skills.” Zhong and two classmates presented a hydrophobic aluminum film solution at the competition. They are among the top teams selected to represent Shanghai at the national entrepreneurship competition to be held in Xi’an in September according to the youth league committee.
