Samsung’s Galaxy Ring: A Comprehensive Look at Health Tracking Features Ahead of Launch

The Samsung Galaxy Ring is poised to be unveiled in its entirety on July 10, following its initial teasing in January. Meanwhile, some screenshots have emerged online that showcase the smart ring’s health-tracking capabilities. These images were obtained by Android Authority through a deep dive into the code for the Samsung Health app for Android. Although this code has been integrated into the app, it is currently not yet enabled or visible to users.

From these screenshots, it appears that the Samsung Health app will be able to monitor heart rate, stress levels, predict menstrual cycles, and take skin temperature readings through the Galaxy Ring. Additionally, snore detection is also included, with the combination of the Galaxy Ring and a connected Android phone handling the audio detection process.

In terms of health-tracking features, it seems that the Galaxy Ring will offer similar functionality to that of the Galaxy Watch 6 but in a more compact and lightweight form factor. This could make it a more comfortable option for users who find smartwatches too bulky. Ultimately, the choice between a smart ring and a smartwatch may come down to personal preference as each has its own unique advantages.

At Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event on July 10, we can expect more information about the Galaxy Ring as well as new foldable phones and smartwatches.
