Emerson Royal, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, is on the verge of leaving the club as he has reached an agreement in principle with AC Milan. Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, is looking to revamp his squad and has already let go of players like Japhet Tanganga and Ryan Sessegnon.
Royal’s agent has had discussions with AC Milan, and the two clubs are currently in negotiations for a potential transfer. According to reports from Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Royal has agreed to join AC Milan this summer. The Brazilian has a deal in principle with the Serie A club for a move to the San Siro in the current transfer window.
Tottenham is reportedly seeking a fee of around €30m for Royal, but AC Milan is hoping to secure a deal for around €20m. Royal is now waiting for the two clubs to come to an agreement and finalize the transfer. If the deal goes through, Royal will be joining a new team in Italy as he continues his career in European football.
