Royal Caribbean’s Latest and Largest Cruise Ships Offer Balcony Staterooms, But Are They Worth the Price Difference?

Royal Caribbean’s latest and largest cruise ships, Icon of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas, both offer staterooms with balconies that allow guests to enjoy the sea breeze from their room. However, I had the opportunity to stay in both of their balcony staterooms, and noticed a $130 price difference per person per day. While the pricier cabin on Icon looked more modern, it lacked functionality and comfort compared to Wonder.

Guests who prefer private outdoor spaces should consider carefully which cabin they book on these mega-ships. While the $900 price gap between the cabins on Icon and Wonder of the Seas may seem like a lot, it is clear that more money does not always mean a better experience. It is important for guests to find the perfect cabin that suits their needs and preferences while cruising with Royal Caribbean.
