Missouri has landed a talented four-star wide receiver from Cocoa, Florida in the form of Jayvan Boggs. The young athlete announced his commitment to the Tigers on the Fourth of July, live on the Rivals Instagram page.
According to Andrew Ivins, the director of scouting at 247Sports, Boggs has a bright future ahead of him in college football. He boasts impressive skills and readiness that could see him contributing to Missouri’s team sooner rather than later.
Boggs’ outstanding performance in his junior season earned him a spot on the 2023 MaxPreps High School Football Junior All-America Team. He received recognition at both the national and state levels for his impressive statistics, including 93 receptions for 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Despite receiving offers from over two dozen schools, including UCF, USC, Florida, Georgia, and Notre Dame, Boggs ultimately chose Missouri. He canceled scheduled official visits to Georgia and USC in favor of becoming a Missouri Tiger.
Missouri fans are excited about Boggs’ decision to join their team as he adds firepower to their 2025 class. He is now the sixth four-star commit for head coach Eli Drinkwitz. While USC recently won a recruitment battle for a wide receiver against Missouri, securing Corey Simms over the Tigers and Penn State, Boggs’ decision was celebrated by both the team and its fans alike.
