In an effort to streamline the insurance process for vehicles crossing the King Fahd Causeway towards Bahrain, United Insurance Company has announced that short insurance periods (3, 5, and 10 days) will now be exclusively available through electronic channels starting from July 1st. Previously, the shortest insurance period available at insurance booths was one month.
Maysaa Al Kooheji, CEO of United Insurance Company, stated that this move is part of their comprehensive digital transformation policy and is an initiative to enhance their services. This step follows the recent launch of the company’s new logo and visual identity in January, marking a new stage in their development process.
The electronic insurance service allows for the issuance of insurance documents and payment of fees electronically, enabling travelers to obtain insurance before passing through the King Fahd Causeway. By offering short insurance periods through electronic channels, United Insurance Company aims to improve the overall experience for travelers crossing the bridge.
Al Kooheji added that this decision was made with the goal of making it more convenient for travelers to obtain insurance without having to wait in long lines at insurance booths. The company believes that this move will also help reduce paperwork and speed up the overall process of obtaining mandatory vehicle insurance.
