Revolutionizing Trauma Care: UT Health San Antonio and UTSA/UT Tyler Collaborate on AI Tools for Decision-Making in Healthcare

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) is a leading health science university in the United States and is recognized as a Hispanic-Serving Institution by the U.S. Department of Education. James Bynum, PhD, a professor and vice chair of research in the department of surgery at UT Health San Antonio, along with the Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative (TRC4), has shown support for a collaboration with researchers at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) to develop and utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance trauma care decision-making among healthcare providers. This collaboration will leverage the expertise of both institutions to create innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and advance the field of trauma care.
