In select European markets, precision spraying systems are being introduced by Kverneland Group and Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT) to optimize herbicide usage and improve crop yields. The integration of the DAT Ecopatch system with Kverneland sprayers uses AI-driven sensor technology for precise herbicide application during the growth season in cereals. This partnership aims to address both economic and environmental pressures by making the DAT Ecopatch solution available to more farmers at a cost of approximately €60,000.
Kverneland Director of Marketing & Sales, Dirk-Jan Stapel, ensures seamless integration of the DAT Ecopatch with their sprayers to allow customers to benefit from advanced spraying technologies. The partnership includes joint marketing efforts, such as exhibitions and field days, with plans to extend the technology to additional crop types. DAT’s international network will support the DAT Ecopatch system, while Kverneland sprayers will continue to be supported by their dealer network.
Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT) is a Norwegian agritech company focusing on precision farming to produce more food with fewer inputs and reduced environmental impact. Their system significantly reduces herbicide use and was a top 10 finalist for the Farm Machine 2024 at Agritechnica in Hannover. The DAT Ecopatch system uses a patented sensor designed for harsh environments, which captures images of the crop and analyzes them in real time. This integration reduces herbicide use by 50%, lowers production costs, and increases yields in select European markets.
