OPPO has just unveiled the latest Reno12 5G series of smartphones, which includes both Pro and standard models. Both devices share many features, such as screen size and processor, and will soon be enhanced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to improve portrait photography.
The new series introduces tools like AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, AI Smart image Matting 2.0, AI Portrait, and AI Linkboost to improve photo editing capabilities. With AI Eraser 2.0, users can easily remove unwanted elements from their photos with a simple touch, while AI Clear Face and AI Best Face provide enhancements to facial features and eye openings in portraits. Another feature powered by AI is the new tool called AI Studio that enables users to create digital avatars and artistic portrait styles from a single photo. Additionally, the device offers an innovative feature called AI Recording Summary that can extract text summaries from voice recordings and organize them into notes.
Both models come with a 6.7-inch 3D AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The OPPO Reno12 Pro features an Infinite View screen with a quad micro curve design, while both models include Splash Touch technology for use with wet hands, stereo speakers, Ultra Volume 300%, and Holo Audio for an enhanced sound experience.
In terms of camera capabilities, the OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G offers a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom while the standard model features a 2 MP telephoto lens. Both devices have a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens as well as advanced selfie cameras with AI Portrait Retouching. The devices are powered by MediaTek Dimensity
