rEvolution Sports Marketing Group recently established a new soccer-specific division known as rEv United. This move was inspired by the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in North America. The Chicago-based firm has extensive experience in soccer, having worked with organizations such as MLS, FIFA, and Concacaf. Additionally, earlier this year, rEvolution became Ligue 1’s agency of record in the U.S.
Bruce Bundrant will lead the rEv United division as its Senior Vice President (SVP). Bundrant has an impressive background in soccer and has worked at notable organizations such as Relevent Sports Group, AS Monaco, Liverpool, and DC United. According to Bundrant, rEvolution plans to make several hires focused on soccer for the new division.
rEvolution aims to expand its business by serving both soccer properties and brands. Bundrant believes that the complex landscape of soccer presents an opportunity for brands to navigate through it with the help of marketing agencies like rEvolution. With the 2026 World Cup approaching, there is intense competition among marketing agencies vying to secure the business of brands looking to take advantage of this unique event. International agencies and U.S.-based agencies are both focusing on creating soccer-specific divisions to remain competitive in this space.
This year has also seen other significant moves in the soccer marketing industry. GMR Marketing launched a dedicated division called GMR FC, while For Soccer Ventures acquired Gilt Edge Soccer Marketing.
Overall, it appears that there is no shortage of innovation and growth in the world of soccer marketing as companies look to capitalize on this lucrative market.
