The top 10 wealthiest cities in the world in 2024 are attracting the ultra-wealthy due to their abundance of big corporations and high-end real estate. A report by Henley & Partners and New World Wealth, titled “The World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2024,” has revealed these rankings.
In the United States, New York City continues to hold its position as the wealthiest city globally, with several other US cities also making it to the top 50 list. However, Tokyo has slipped from first place to third due to a decline in its high-net-worth individual population.
Singapore has experienced significant growth in its millionaire population, placing it fourth on the list and solidifying its status as a leading Asian financial hub. Dubai has emerged as the wealthiest city in the Middle East, ranking 21st overall.
London, traditionally a financial center, has dropped to fifth place on the list. Los Angeles has risen to sixth place with an increase in its wealthy population. India is making remarkable progress, with Mumbai and Delhi breaking into the top 50 at 24th and 37th respectively. This indicates a growing presence of wealthy individuals in India.
