Weekend Schedule for NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series races at Martinsville Speeday

The weekend of April 16th promises to be an electrifying one at Martinsville Speedway, as all three national NASCAR series will be in action. The festivities kick off on Friday with truck teams taking center stage, followed by Xfinity teams continuing the short track schedule on Saturday afternoon. Finally, Cup teams will cap off the weekend with a thrilling Sunday afternoon race.

Last season’s winners at Martinsville Speedway were Corey Heim in the Truck race, John Hunter Nemechek in the spring Xfinity race, and Kyle Larson in the spring Cup race. With such a rich history of success at this historic track, fans can expect nothing less than an unforgettable experience this time around.

The weather forecast for the weekend is looking promising, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 47 degrees on Friday for the Truck race, mostly sunny skies and a high of 58 degrees on Saturday for the Xfinity race, and sunny skies with a high of 62 degrees on Sunday for the Cup race. With clear skies overhead, drivers will have optimal conditions to showcase their skills and push themselves to their limits.

Friday’s schedule gets underway at 10 am with garage open for the Craftsman Truck Series. From 3:05 pm to 7:30 pm, we’ll see truck teams take to the track for practice sessions, qualifying runs, and ultimately their big showdown in the Truck Series race. On Saturday morning at 10:30 am, garage doors open once again for Cup Series teams while track activity includes cup practice sessions, qualifying runs, and an exciting Xfinity Series race that promises to keep everyone on edge until its conclusion later that day. Finally, Sunday rolls around at 3 pm with another action-packed Cup Series Race where we can expect some intense competition among drivers like Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney who have had some great moments at Martinsville Speedway before.

With so much talent on display across all three series’, it’s no wonder that Martinsville Speedway is one of NASCAR’s most popular stops year after year. This weekend promises to be no different as we witness some nail-biting races that are sure to leave fans wanting more!
