Recently, the Ministry of Health reported the discovery of a rabid cow in the Nahal Sarah reserve, located in the Shtula region of the Western Galilee. This prompted a person who had come into contact with the infected animal to receive preventive treatment for rabies.
As a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of rabies and ensure the safety of individuals who may have been exposed to the virus, the Ministry of Health is urging anyone who may have been in contact with the infected cow or any stray animals in the area between June 12 and June 27 to immediately reach out to the Acre Health Bureau at 04-9955111. It is also advised for individuals to contact their nearest health bureau to determine if they require preventive treatment.
By promptly seeking medical advice and possible treatment, individuals can protect themselves from potential risks associated with rabies.
