In March 2014, Istria and Rijeka faced off in the semi-finals of the Cup at Aldo Drosina, drawing a record crowd of 7,500 spectators. Now, five years later, Hajduk from Split is set to take on Istria at the same stadium. The central western stand has already sold out, as have tickets for the southern part where Hajduk fans will be seated. Only four tickets remain for the eastern stand, which is likely to sell out by Sunday.

The northern stand currently has the most available seats with 1,246 tickets remaining. With only five days until the game, it’s possible that this too could be sold out by Sunday. So far, 7,654 tickets have been sold for the match between Hajduk and Istria. This means that the record from 2014 has already been broken.

Hajduk is currently leading the championship while Istria is on a two-game streak without conceding a goal. The last time Split beat Istria was over 497 days ago on July 17th, 2022 in Pula when they won 2-0 with goals scored by Melnjak and Livaja respectively. The people of Split are eagerly anticipating this long-awaited rematch and expect a thrilling spectacle on Sunday at Aldo Drosina Stadium.
