Jill Baijings, a promising midfielder from the Netherlands, has joined Women’s Super League team Aston Villa on loan from Bayern Munich. This signing marks Villa’s first addition of the summer transfer window. At just 23 years old, Baijings has already earned eight international caps for her country and brings valuable experience and attributes to the team.
Lee Billiard, Villa’s head of women’s football, expressed excitement about welcoming Baijings to the team. He stated that they have been following her for some time and believe she will enhance the team’s performance on the field. During her time at Bayern Munich last season, Baijings played 14 games and contributed to the team’s successful retention of the Frauen-Bundesliga title.
Prior to her time at Bayern Munich, Baijings played for clubs such as Heerenveen, SGS Essen, and Bayer Leverkusen. She signed a three-year contract with Bayern last summer and is excited about the opportunity to continue her career at Aston Villa.
