The Commanders suffered a 31-19 loss to the Giants, and to make matters worse, there was no hot water in either locker room after the game. This unfortunate incident was caused by an equipment failure in the main water heater that couldn’t be resolved during the game without completely shutting off the water to the stadium. Although this is not the first time there have been issues with pipes at FedEx Field, this time it left the players in need of a shower.
The Commanders spokesperson stated that this issue compounded a bad day for the home team and they will need to find some other way to rinse away the stink of falling to 4-7 on the season. The players will have to find alternative methods to clean themselves up, such as using cold showers or bathing in ice-cold water. This setback has added another layer of difficulty to an already challenging season for the Commanders. They will have to work hard to recover and turn things around before it’s too late.
