A man in his late 20s or early 30s entered the Kroger Marketplace in Miamisburg on Tuesday afternoon and caused a significant police response. Multiple witnesses reported seeing numerous police officers at the grocery store as a result of the incident. The Miamisburg Police Department and medics were called to the scene around 3:45 p.m., after receiving reports of a disorderly individual at the store located on 255 N Heincke Road.
The suspect, described as a man in his late 20s or early 30s, had experienced a mental health crisis and had locked himself in a bathroom. Despite this, he did not harm himself. According to a Montgomery County dispatch supervisor, the man was arrested on charges of trespassing, inducing panic, and theft. Although the store remained open, a section near the pharmacy was blocked off during the incident.
