OKWU Baseball is just one win away from securing their spot in the KCAC title game after defeating second-seeded Tabor with a score of 6-4 in the tournament. The Eagles remain unbeaten in the tournament and are in a strong position as they head into the weekend. Despite the Blue Jays loading the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning, OKWU pitcher Ashton Luera stepped up and secured the win for his team.
With their victory, OKWU only needs to win one more game on Saturday to secure their spot in the title game on Sunday. The Eagles will be facing either Friends University or Tabor College, both teams that OKWU has previously beaten. This win brings OKWU’s overall season record to 33-18 and they will need to win the conference tournament in order to earn a spot in the NAIA national tournament.
As we continue to follow OKWU baseball throughout this tournament, we will keep you updated on their journey towards the title game. Stay tuned for more information and analysis on their remaining games.
