NFL Titans and Healthcare Professionals Unite for Community Health Fair in Nashville

NFL partners with health clinic to provide vaccines and dental care

On Saturday, April 20, a health clinic in Nashville will be hosting a free event to promote healthy lifestyles and provide access to healthcare for the community. The clinic is partnering with NFL Alumni Tennessee, St. Luke CME Church, and the Tennessee CEAL Program of Meharry Medical College to offer dental services, diapers, vaccines, music, free food and exercise classes from 12 to 4 p.m. at St. Luke CME Church in the Buena Vista area of Nashville.

Former Tennessee Titans players such as Al Smith, Brad Hopkins, Derrick Mason, Albert Haynesworth, Joey Kent and Neil O’Donnell will be present to sign autographs and take photos with fans. Attendees can receive vaccines against shingles, flu, RSV, Hepatitis B, HPV pneumococcal Tdap and COVID-19 provided by Kroger. The event is part of NFL Alumni’s “Gear up Tennessee” initiative which aims to improve the health and wellness of the community through various activities and initiatives.

The Conference of National Black Churches, Dedicated Senior Medical Center, Help to Moms Nashville Diaper Connection are among the other organizations supporting this event in addition to Meharry Medical College’s Dr Donald Alcendor and Reverend Daryl A Ballard II of St Luke CME Church who will also be present at 2008 Ed Temple Blvd.
