NFC East Rivalry Heats Up with Saquon Barkley’s Offseason Move to the Eagles

The departure of running back Saquon Barkley from the Giants to the Eagles as a free agent was one of the major offseason developments in the NFC East. While his move was not a surprise as contract negotiations with the Giants had stalled in previous offseasons, his decision to join their division rival adds fuel to the longtime rivalry between the teams.

Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux shared on The Rich Eisen Show that he doesn’t harbor any ill feelings towards Barkley for leaving. Thibodeaux emphasized that the NFL is a business and players need to maximize their earning potential. He expressed happiness for Barkley in securing the contract he desired.

Barkley revealed that the Giants did not offer him the opportunity to return, despite a glimpse from the upcoming Hard Knocks series suggesting otherwise.
