Dr. Darrius Douglas has been appointed as the vice provost of enrollment management at The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, according to an announcement made by the school on Monday. He will officially begin his role on July 29, coming from his previous position as dean of enrollment management at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Douglas holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education and Organizational Change, a Master of Science in Information Systems Project Management from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from DePaul University. With over 21 years of experience in strategic policy development and leadership in areas such as student services, enrollment management, financial aid, and enrollment marketing, he is well-equipped to take on this new position at HSC.
In his previous role at the College of DuPage, Douglas achieved a 5% increase in spring enrollment year-over-year and established a significant sponsorship with Amazon’s Career Choice Program. During his time at the New York Film Academy and Tulane University School of Social Work, he demonstrated his expertise by achieving record incoming class sizes and increasing enrollment numbers significantly. His strategic recruitment and retention plans at Tulane resulted in a marked increase in enrollment and transfer student enrollment, setting the stage for continued growth.
