Caregivers Home Health, a privately owned senior care provider based in Topeka, Kansas, has recently been acquired by Elara Caring, a Dallas-based company. Founded in 2004, Caregivers Home Health has locations in Garden City, Centerville and Chariton, Iowa. This acquisition marks Elara Caring’s entrance into the Iowa market and further expands their range of services.
Ed Schulte, CEO and President of Caregivers Home Health expressed his confidence in Elara Caring stating that they have a strong reputation for care and that their patients and partners are in good hands under their new ownership. Scott Powers, the CEO and chairman of Elara Caring expressed excitement about the acquisition stating that the company’s relationship-based approach and value-based care model have led to improved patient outcomes in communities across the country.
Elara Caring currently operates from 200 locations across 18 states, offering various services such as home health, hospice, personal care, behavioral health, and palliative care. Their dedicated team of clinicians serves over 60,000 patients, providing quality care and support to those in need. This acquisition is the latest in a series of expansions for Elara Caring following previous acquisitions like Assisted Daily Living in Rhode Island in 2023 and American Family Home Health in Illinois last year.
