In Zagreb, Opel officially presented the new Opel Frontera to a conference. This compact SUV is designed for comfort, space, and travel, making it ideal for family outings and nature adventures. Positioned between the Mokka and Grandland models, the Frontera will offer a seven-seat option at its 4.38-meter length, catering to carriers looking for versatility.
The SUV will be available as a fully electric model and with a 48-volt hybrid drive. Distinguishing design details include the black ‘visor’ characteristic of new Opel models and a ‘wing design’ with three blocks of lights separated by inserts in body color. The Frontera’s robust appearance is emphasized by pronounced wheel arches, fenders, and C-pillar. Measuring 4.38 meters long, the Frontera stands 162 cm high and 179 cm wide, with a wheelbase of 267.1 cm. It offers 450 liters of luggage capacity, expandable to 1600 liters by folding the seats and supporting a roof load of 240 kg.
The interior features two equipment levels, Frontera and Frontera GS, with two 10-inch screens, a multimedia system, and a new control interface. The electric version of the Frontera boasts a 44 kWh battery with a range of approximately 310 km and 113 HP of maximum power. Alternatively, it will be available with a 48V (898 Wh) hybrid system offering 100 or 136 HP, coupled with a DCT6 transmission.
